A bit more Christmas Sewing

I was given a gorgeous Marg Low santa kit, which I happily made up and gave to a friend.  I felt like making another but when I looked inside the pattern I'd somehow lost the pattern sheet - I really must tidy my sewing room- so I had to make it up from just the picture and from memory.

Here it is, and once I find some nice fine red gross grain ribbon, into the present basket it will go.  (Sorry about the picture quality.  I'll get a better photo later in the day, when the light is better.)

Such a gorgeous table topper and lucky us, it's a free pattern at fabulous All People Quilt.  Here's the LINK.

I couldn't resist...

making another little mug bag and mug rug set.

So far I've done the applique. I love this cute little design which I purchased on Craftsy for a couple of dollars.  The sweet reindeers were designed by Amanda Weatherill from The Patchsmith.  I do love her style.  You can check out her patterns HERE.

I fell in love with this sweet cottage sewing kit the minute I saw it.  So cute and a free pattern very kindly shared at The Sewing Directory.  It's an excerpt from Mandy Shaw's book Stitch at Home, so big thanks to Mandy too.

Daisy Days

I've been stitching away on block 1 of Jenny's gorgeous BOM Daisy Days and I finished it this morning. Although now I see the photo, I realise I've missed one daisy centre.
Can't wait for the next block.
These are so beautiful and so is Debbie Anne's blog, Ephemera's Vintage Garden.  It is brimming with vintage beauty and heaps of fabulous freebies and brilliant ideas.

A small finish

I finished my little mug rug and decided to make a mug bag to accompany it.  Sweet Sharon put me onto the free design at Red Brolly and I set to work, using some more of my Tilda stash.

So another little goodie can go into the present stash.
I adore this hexagon pillow.
There is a wonderful tutorial to help you construct one for yourself very kindly shared at Lovely Little Handmades.  Follow this LINK for the tutorial.  You really do need to take the time to explore this brilliant blog.  It is fabulous.  Kerri is such a clever cookie.
PS Don't forget to enter my giveaway in yesterday's post.

Tuesday Treasures

Today's Tuesday Treasure is this little blog The House on the Side of the Hill.
(This is the first picture I shared - a lovely Val Laird free project)

I started it back in August 2010 as a way of keeping my brain active when I was forced to give up paid employment due to my ill health.  I thought it would also keep me motivated in my quilting hobby if I recorded what I made.  Little did I know how important it would become in my life, how it would lead to lifelong friendships and bring me so much happiness.  And now I've reached a blogging milestone.
This is my 1001 post.
So there has to be a Tuesday's Treasures giveaway to celebrate.
This time it's a beautiful pattern called Antique Roses by Country Appliques

and some of my very precious Sis Boom stash.  I'm including 4 fat quarters of beautiful Circa by Jennifer Paganelli.
And some of my vintage button collection.

Same as always there will be one entry for those who play along by putting a link in the Mr Linky box. Another entry if you leave me a comment, and finally a third if you leave me a comment letting me know you are a follower.  Entry is open to everyone and I'll announce the winner next Tuesday.

Now for the fun bit.  Do you have a treasure to share with us today.  It can be a thing, a place, a person.  Even an idea or a thought.  Anything that is important to you, anything you treasure.  Just pop your details into Mr Linky and play along.
Have you visited Jaybird Quilts lately.  Lovely Julie shares many fabulous free tutorials and designs with us.  Her blog is also wonderful reading.
Here's one example and there are so many more.  Click HERE to take a look.  Many thanks to Julie
